# Under Construction

This playbook under construction and being developed by a team in [The Peer Garden](http://www.thepeergarden.com/). New contributors are welcome.

Taking inspiration from the lessons learned from creating [Enspiral](http://www.enspiral.com), this playbook is an effort to extract a core pattern and some simple recipes that people wanting to create similar organisations can benefit from.

## What is an Entrepreneurial Cooperative?

It is both a cooperative of entrepreneurs and a cooperative focused on launching ventures.

It looks like a group of friends who help each other grow businesses.

It is a way an entrepreneur can gain skills, capital and support from their peers.

It is a strategy to help potential co-founders build a relationship over years before jumping in to a venture together.

It is a safety net that can support entrepreneurs when the going gets tough and support them if their venture fails.

## Why are you writing this playbook?

Over the years we have had many people contact us saying "how do I create an Enspiral where I am". Many of us at Enspiral have worked hard to share what we've learned through our [blog](https://medium.com/enspiral-tales), [handbook](https://handbook.enspiral.com/) and workshops.

Our collective strategy has not been to grow Enspiral but to open source components so people can copy the parts they like and we can all learn together.

This playbook is a continuation of that strategy. The aim is to distill the key learnings and turn them into actionable recipes that you can use to grow your own Entrepreneurial Cooperative.

## Want to know more?

Whether you are just at the beginning of your journey or have been active in this space for a long time, you are most welcome to join us in [The Peer Garden](http://www.thepeergarden.com/) to help make this resource as useful as it can be.
